On black, every mark shows. That is exactly what makes it so rewarding to restore.
This Continental GT arrived with paint that looked dull after years of washing: fine swirls everywhere and the odd deeper scratch. On black, that shows up all the more.
After a thorough clean and decontamination we corrected the paint in several stages. First the deeper scratches, then refining until the swirls were gone and the black looked like a mirror again.
To hold that result the paint was given a protective layer, so the gloss lasts longer and upkeep gets easier.
